Women…is the Lord calling you to be a missionary sister?

Religious sisters are needed worldwide who, through a witness of heroic holiness in action, will strive to make Jesus, who said, "I am the Truth," known, obeyed, and loved.

Sisters in Jesus the Lord is a Public Association of the Faithful under the authority of Bishop James V. Johnston Jr. in the Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph, based in Kansas City, Missouri, serving there and sending sisters to Vladivostok, Russia (and eventually other countries, too). Learn more

Our sisters were honored to have assisted
with the music at the ordination.

Two deacons of our brother order, the Canons Regular of Jesus the Lord, were ordained priests in April: Brother Patrick on April 2 in Kazakhstan, and Brother Nikita on April 10 in Vladivostok.

Your continued prayers will play a very important part in their new priestly lives as they face the many challenges in their respective parishes in a difficult mission field. These two ordinations in Russia are definitely the fruit of your love-filled prayers.

October 5-7: Rachel's Vineyard in Vladivostok

candles and supplies set out for Rachel's Vineyard retreat

CJD sisters help organize and present Rachel's Vineyard Retreats both in Russia and in the United States. These healing retreats provide vital help for men and women who are suffering from post-abortion syndrome. The participants find God's forgiveness and mercy for which they thirst.

Sister Maria Stella led the retreat with others from the parish. Our sisters helped with setting up, background work, and cooking. It was a wonderful time for healing, hope, and peace for the retreatants.

September news from Russia

September 20, 2018
Dear Friends and Family, Prayer Partners,
We have great news! The purchase of the last available apartment in Dom Marii, Apt. 2, went through on September 12, the memorial of the Most Holy Name of Mary. Now, between Fr. Myron and ourselves, we own seven out of the eight apartments! We had been advised not to touch renovations until we had this last apartment. So, on Saturday, we were able to invite an architect to come. He's helping us find the professionals for the various official steps needed here. The first project . . .
