Formation
Postulants and Novices learn daily how to live
in Jesus through faithful prayer and studies.
The plan of study for the time of formation,
which encompasses a six-18 month postulancy and a one-two year
novitiate, includes:
- Sacred Scripture
- History of
religious life in the Church
- Encyclicals and
other Church documents
- Catechism of the
Catholic Church
- Language study:
currently Russian
Candidates will attend when possible classes in
these areas at a faithful Catholic Studies program at a nearby
university. Professed sisters will also be encouraged to attend
classes, because formation is a lifelong process.
Study will be oriented toward achieving the
following goals:
§
To develop a lifelong thirst for growing in her
knowledge of Jesus the Lord
§
To be thoroughly pro-life and to proclaim the pro-life
message in our every endeavor
§
To be mindful of the necessity of using modern
technology and the media in every nation to spread the Gospel
§
To learn about leadership for personal development and
to develop leadership among parishioners and the wider community
§
To be self-sufficient, self-motivated, and
self-disciplined in order to meet the extraordinary challenges of
the missions.

The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is
the main feast day for our community. |
